WILLIAM D. DAWSON
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTIONIST
William D. Dawson is a nationally certified Traffic Accident Reconstructionist and the senior associate for California Traffic Specialists. Mr. Dawson is an expert investigator who has performed a wide variety of both criminal and civil investigations. Mr. Dawson graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy with honors and served as a Deputy Sheriff for ten years. During this time, he handles numerous and varied typed of criminal investigations and field situations. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Department, he gained a broad background and extensive experience as a traffic accident investigator and reconstructionist.
Mr. Dawson is nationally accredited and certified as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). Mr. Dawson is also licensed and certified as a Private Investigator, No. PI 13739, in the State of California.
Mr. Dawson has attended Texas A&M University (1994-1995); University of North Florida (1991-1993); Northwestern University (1990); Golden West College (1989); Western Wyoming College (1985-1986); East Los Angeles College (1967-1969); and Pasadena City College (1961-1968). Mr. Dawson has completed extensive training and numerous courses in Traffic Accident Investigation and Traffic Accident Reconstruction.
Mr. Dawson is a court recognized expert in all of the various elements of traffic accident investigation, analysis, and reconstruction. He is also an expert in photography and uses it effectively in investigative procedures. He has a reputation of being a creative and innovative investigator who effectively collects, deciphers and disseminates various types of information. He has given expert testimony in both criminal and civil cases, and is thoroughly familiar with court procedures and decorum.
